Why Kenyans should ignore Prophet Owour claims of having cured tens of patients from HIV & Aids.

Details of patients being cured HIV & Aids by a controversial prophet Owour have recently emerged in Kenya social platforms.

In 2006, the mother to the famous bishop Victor Kanyari, Prophetess Lucy Nduta, of Salvation Healing Ministry was arrested for extorting money from patients with claims of healing them. A patient was required to pay a certain amount of money before the prophetess prayed for them. Patients are also at a high risk of suffering from several types of cancers which include Kaposi’s Sarcoma, Lung cancer, liver cancer, cervical cancer, leukemia and lymphoma. Patients are advised to frequently visit do cancer screening.

Despite there being no complete treatment of HIV & Aids across the world, scientists are exploring other treatment options which include and not limited to stem cells transplants.

This is after five patients who were being treated of cancer through bone marrow transplant and were HIV & Aids positive ended up being HIV negative.

Scientists are however reluctant to start treating HIV & Aids through bone marrow and stem cells transplants due to complexity of the process and the high risk of death.
