Kenyatta National Hospital patient kills self by jumping from seventh floor to the ground floor leading to his instant death.
The 22 years old patient whose name is yet to be released to the media was a patient at the hospital and had been admitted in ward 7B based in seventh floor.
He allegedly jumped off from the ward he had been admitted to the ground floor at around 1AM when other patients were dead asleep.
Security officers who witnessed the incident told the media that they heard a thud and upon checking, they found the patient lying dead on the ground floor.
Police officers were called to the scene of the incident where they processed the scene and moved the body to the mortuary. They a have also launched an investigation on the matter.
The hospital has so far not issued any statement indicating the number of days the patient had been admitted into the hospital.
Nation Media background check however indicates that the 7th floor of Kenyatta National Hospital hosts patients suffering from diseases such as Malaria, HIV, Tuberculosis and pneumonia.
