Fridah Warau Kamuyu, the lady who drowned alongside engineered Maina of Mukurweini, Nyeri County laid to rest in a low-key burial in Mathioya Murang’a county.

Fridah died alongside Engineer Titus Maina Kiiru aged 39 years after the car they were in plunged into Juja dam.

The two had allegedly packed a Nissan X-trail car at the banks of Juja dam as the made merry. The Nissan X-trail however plunged into the dam and efforts to save their lives were futile.

The body of Titus Maina Kiiru was identified by his friends a few hours after it was retrieved from the dam while that of Fridah Warau Kamuyu remained unidentified for close to a week until detectives collected her finger prints.

Her family members were notified and they rushed to City Mortuary where they positively identified their kin’s body.

Speaking after the shocking news, close family members revealed that Fridah Kamuyu lived quite a reserved life and none of them knew about her whereabouts after she graduated from a hospitality college last year June. The relatives also revealed that she rarely communicated with her parents and siblings.

Days after her identification, Titus Kiiru friends also revealed that the two had a romantic relationship and he had relocated her to Makongeni area in Thika where she was staying.

During her send off today, her parents mourned her as someone who was always obedient and always wanted to see people happy.
