Three men rescued from the hands of mchele babes in Ruiru.

Three revelers who had visited Green spot Gardens were yesterday rescued from the hands of three women who had laced their drinks with stupefying substances.

According to a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the three revelers showed up at the popular joint along the Eastern Bypass, ordered their drinks and one kilogram of goat meat.

As the three imbibed their frothy drinks, they noticed three women sitting in an adjacent table and invited them to their table. At first, the ladies declined the offer but a few minutes later they joined them and started merry making.

The woman allegedly laced their drinks with a drug commonly referred to as Mchele and as time passed, they started acting stupefied.

Fortunately, one of the barman at the entertainment joint noticed all was not well made a distress call to police officers based at Ruiru police station who showed up in no time and arrested the three women who have been identified as Hellen Wambui, Irene Wairimu and Fidelis Wambui.

The arrest of the three comes at a time when cases of drinks being laced with drugs in entertainment joints are on the rise.

Victims have reported losing millions of money through such cases across the country especially in major towns.

Preliminary police reports indicate that these crimes are well coordinated and planned. Women who are used as baits are rotated from one club to another.
