Man of Somali origin arraigned in court for stealing girlfriend’s worth over six hundred thousand.
According to police records in our possession, the middle-aged man of somali origin stormed to his ex-girlfriend’s house, broke in and stole the items which are approximated to be worth about six hundred and fifty-seven thousand.
The suspect is being accused of breaking into her ex-girlfriend house identified as Zuhura Faud in Pangani, Nairobi County on 30th January and partying away with the items worth over six hundred thousand.
The accused is suspected to have stormed her ex-lover’s house when she had gone to visit her aunt, only for Zuhura to be met with broken doors upon coming back.
At the time of arrest, the man found in possession of seventy-nine thousand prompting authorities to charge him with being found with proceeds of stolen goods.
Authorities arraigned the suspect at Makadara Law Courts before Senior Resident Magistrate Eric Mutunga where he denied the charges.
The suspect’s lawyer argued that his client broke into his lover’s house after an argument ensued between the two. Prosecution side however, insisted that a crime was committed.
Prosecution also sought a go a head from the court to continue holding the suspect since his nationality had not been clearly established and also because he had threatened the victim
