Details of a three hours meeting between Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and his successor William Samoei Ruto that resulted to police officers being sent to protect all Kenyatta family properties, companies and private homes.
A day after police were deployed to protect Kenyatta family properties across the country over suspicion of attacks by goons mobilized by a section of Kenya Kwanza politicians, it is now emerging that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and President William Ruto met at house owned by the former President near State House in a very low key meeting immediately after Ruto jetted back to the country from his four days’ official trip in Germany and Brussels
The two were holed up in a meeting for close to three hours and details of the meeting are still scanty. UnreportedKe has however learned that the two agreed to bury the hatchet and Uhuru Kenyatta together with his family will no longer be a punching bag for the Kenya Kwanza administration.
They also reconciled and agreed to work together for the sake of Kenya and its influence in the East and Central Africa. Preparations are also on top gear on how they will unveil their resolutions to the public in the coming days.
The resolution was reached after the two high profile leaders agreed to compromise each on their side. Former President Uhuru Kenyatta agreed to resign from Azimio, distance himself from the opposition party activities and focus more on his role as a peace envoy for the East African Community.
President William Ruto on his side agreed to order his lieutenants to retract and seize attacks on the Kenyatta family and their associates. The President also agreed not to revisit actions against him by high profile State Officers who served in his predecessor government.
The two also agreed to visit Mt Kenya and Rift Valley together to solidify their rekindled friendship.
