Polygamy gone sour in Kakamega after first wife beats husband for marrying a second wife.
A 43 years old woman from Kakamega county has been put in police custody for allegedly beating up her husband and setting their house on fire after a domestic dispute ensued between the two.
Florence Karakacha, the woman who has been arrested, allegedly assaulted her husband, Bramwel Lubanga, physically and even ripped off a section of his lip for marrying a second wife.
After physically assaulting her husband and ripping off a section of his lip, the woman who is a mother of five rushed to Ematiha Police station and claimed that her husband had assaulted her physically.
Her husband, Bramwel Lubanga, was arrested following the report by his wife at Ematiha Police Station based in Navakhollo. However, police however released him and arrested the wife after receiving additional information on what really transpired.
A family member who shed more light on the matter claimed that Bramwel Lubanga opted to marry a second wife after his wife, who is a mother of five went out of wedlock and started having an affair with his brother.
Navakholo OCPD Richard Omanga confirmed the incident and hinted that Florence Karakacha will be arraigned in court next week.
