Popular Kiss 100 Radio Presenter Kamene Ngoro was fired.
Days after news of controversial Radio Presenter Kamene Ngoro leaving the morning show at Kiss 100 FM emerged, it has not been established that the management of Kiss 100 sacked her and she will be replaced by Kwamboka who recently left Vbyz Radio managed by Standard Media Group.
Radio Africa management accused the presenter of unexplained absenteeism and reduction of her show ratings despite her earning half a million salary per month.
Kamene was also accused of not showing up at work claiming that she is sick but later on she would post pictures and videos on social media indicating contrary to what she had said.
“Kamene made a regular habit of not showing up to work, and she could give all manner of excuses most of the time, saying she was sick, and later she would upload photos and videos on social media of someone in totally different situation,” an internal source revealed to Nairobi News.
A disciplinary committee was set up to investigate Kamene’s conduct and recommended her dismissal after more evidence on her absenteeism was tabled by her colleagues.
“Colleagues she closely worked with said she would text them an hour to the start of her show at 5AM, saying she won’t make it to work and request someone to step in for her,” the internal source added.
According to the internal source, Kamene Goro Kiss 100 morning show rating had also started to nose dive and advertisers had started to withdraw their adverts from the morning show making shows returns not commensurate to her salary.
Kamene Ngoro aired her last show earlier today and she will be replaced by Kwambox starting on Monday. Kwambox recently left Standard Media Group and joined the Radio Africa Group though she had not been allocated any role.
