Kamene Goro addresses media after hosting her last show at Kiss 100 FM with her cohost Oga Obinna.
While addressing the media and content creators, she shed light on a couple of things ranging from claims that she was fired to what to expect from her in the coming days.
Speaking about her experience at Kiss 100, Kamene recounted that close to four years she has been a radio host at Radio Africa Group have been full of fun and interaction with different radio cohosts.
“Today was my last show at Kiss 100 FM, I have been there for the last four years and it came to end today. I did my last show with Obinna after hosting the morning show with three different show hosts,” Kamene told journalists and content creators.
Kamene also told the journalists and content creators that it is not the end of her career in media and on monday next week, they might hear something from her.
“It has been a journey and more things are coming, I don’t people to say that this is the last thing to hear of Kamene. Definitely on Monday you will hear something from Kamene. It is possible that people will see me on other radio stations but there also other things that I am launching starting next week. I will also do some holiday and other things myself,” She added.
She also told the content creators that Jalongo’s departure to pursue politics also triggered and influenced her decision of not renewing her contract with Radio Africa Group.
“Jalang’o departure from Radio Africa challenged me to think out of the box and do other things such as self-employment, being my own voice and creating a platform where other people can benefit. His departure also influenced my decision,” Kamene explained how Jalango’s influenced her decision.
Kamene also explained that she was not fired by Radio Africa Group but it’s her contract that lapsed and she saw no need to pursue it because she wanted to pursue other things.
“I was not fired. My contract was up by end of this month and I saw no need to renew it. Those stories on being sacked are not true. It’s okay for people to talk but they should talk from a point of information,” Kamene explained why she left Radio Africa Group
As she concluded, she Andrew Kibe for tarnishing her name and that of her businesses. She claimed that Kibe is envious since her life took a different path after he left Radio Africa Group.
“Kibe was my friend and I think after he left here he had an expectation that I would leave but of course I didn’t. It did not also settle well with him that my life took a different turn after he left. I also do not have a personal beef with him but he is disrespecting me by talking ill about my business,” Kamene bashed Kibe.
