Zachary Kwenya Thuku is the current Member of Parliament for Kinangop Constituency serving on his second term after being reelected on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2022 general election. He was among the few Members of Parliament across Mt Kenya region who managed to withstand the United Democratic Alliance wave and retained their seats.
In 2017, he ousted Stephen Mburu who had been elected on The National Alliance Party during the 2013 general election.
Zachary Kwenya Thuku was born, raised and educated in Nyandarua County. His date of birth and family life details are however not public.
In 1983, he joined Rugonga Primary School until 1991 when he sat for his Kenya Certification of Primary Education examination. He later joined Ndaragwa High School to pursue post primary education in the year 1992.
In 1995, he sat for Kenya Certification of Secondary Education and later in 1997 he joined Superior College for a Diploma in Accounting and Computer Science.
In 2012, he enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree course in International Business Management at Africa Nazarene University and graduated in 2016.
He is currently enrolled for a Master’s of science degree in International Economics at the Tennessee State University.
