Prof Kithure Kindiki has been ranked as the best performing Cabinet Secretary in the first quarter of the Kenya Kwanza regime.
Kindiki who last month released his first one hundred days in office scorecard has earned the trust of many Kenyans across the country.
According to the Infotrack poll, Kenyans have expressed satisfaction with how the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and administration is handling the affairs of his docket.
27% of the 2000 people who responded to the Infotrack poll voted for Professor Kindiki as the best Cabinet Secretary followed by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
The ranking comes at a time when the Ministry of Interior and Administration Cabinet Secretary has mounted an intensive fight against banditry in the North Rift region and illicit brew in some parts of Mt Kenya and Rift Valley region.
The operation to flush out bandits is currently going on in some parts of North Rift Counties. It’s being headed by police officers with the aid of Kenya Defence Forces personnel.
Kindiki has also moved with speed to clear the backlog at the Directorate of Immigration Services by ensuring there are adequate passport booklets at the directorate and the passport printing machine is function after it broke down a couple of months.
The CS, together with President Ruto is also expected to launch Unique Personal Identifier Number which will be issued to newborns at birth. The number will also act as a digital ID and will replace the Huduma number which had been conceived in the previous regime.
