Kisii Kid Abducted for Six Hours, Found with Eyes gouged.

Residents of Ikuruma village in Mirani Kisii county are in shock after a missing kid was found with his eyes gouged out and blood on his face.

The three years kid was abducted from their family home on Wednesday prompting an immediate search for his whereabouts by family members for about six hours until when the kid was found with blood on his face in the family’s banana plantation.

Police suspect that the kid was abducted by a gang that tortured him for close to six hours before returning him with eyes injured.

After preliminary investigations into the disappearance of the three years kid, police officers linked the disappearance to the father but released him a few hours later due to lack of evidence.

Following the devastating incident, the kid was rushed to Kisii Eye Hospital where doctors confirmed that the torture by the gang had left the minor blind.

Dr Daniel Kiage of Kisii Eyes Hospital confirmed that the minor eyes had been removed completely and nothing could have been done to save his eyesight.

“His two eyes had been removed, the lids are also injured… all we can say for now is that it looks like a sharp instrument was used to torture him,” Dr Daniel Kiage said.

Doctors are however waiting for Baby Sagini to stabilize so that he can undergo the second surgery. For now, he will, however, stay in the hospital with pieces of bandage covering the empty eye sockets.

His grandmother who visited him at the Kisii Eyes Hospital wept uncontrollably as she tried to piece things together on what happened to his grandson.

Family and residents of Ikuruma village have called upon the government agencies handling the matter to expedite investigations and bring to book those found responsible.
