Kamau wa Kangethe alias governor 048 is a veteran radio presenter and TV host at Inooro TV and Inooro Fm.
His real name is Evans Kamau. He was born and raised in Magumu ward in Kinangop Constituency, Nyandarua County.
Two of his most popular shows are his morning show at Inooro TV where he hosts politicians from the Mt Kenya region and his Sunday Ngogoyo show which runs from noon to 4 pm.
During the just concluded 2022 general elections, he found himself in bad terms with the now Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua after claiming that 2007/08 post-election violence victims had not been relocated to their land in Rift Valley.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had insisted that all the Post Election Violence victims had been resettled back to their tracks of land, a claim that Kamau wa Kangethe disputed to the point Rigathi volunteered to fuel a helicopter for them to go to Nyandarua where the alleged victims were said to have pitched tent.
Contrary to what many think, Kamau is a renowned businessman with a chain of businesses both in Nairobi and his home county Nyandarua.
In Nairobi along the bypass, Kamau wa Kangethe is a director of a hotel that deals with Kienyenji Chicken, fish and other traditional meals.
Back in the village, Kamau is a dairy and poultry farmer. On his farm which is based in Magumu ward, Kinangop Constituency, he does large-scale dairy production and poultry farming.
Kamau also owns a four-storey commercial building in Naivasha which has been leased to entrepreneurs for commercial purposes.
