Ministry of Defence Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, speaks about his plan to end banditry in the country.
Duale who was speaking to the Spice FM earlier today expressed his concerns of bandits mutating and receivinng support from terror groups if banditry is not delt with once and for all. While making these remarks, he gave a case study of what is happening in Mozambaque and Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Cabinet Secretary for Defense also hinted on an education policy he will be presenting to the National Security Council for consideration. According to Duale, repairing schools in the North Rift and turning them to boarding schools where children will be provided with free food will go a long way in ensuring children remain in school no matter the situation in the region.
Duale also said that the government might do away with police deployment and leave the operation to Kenya Defence Forces for the effectivity of the mission.
