Ministry of Interior and National Government Administration poaches award winning Royal Media Group political editor Francis Gachuri to head the communication department of the ministry.
Senior Political Editor at Royal Media service, Francis Gachuri, will soon be off screen following his new role at Harambee House. The seasoned journalist has been appointed as the head of communication at the ministry of Interior and Administration.
Though not officially confirmed, sources at Royal Media service have confirmed the rumors. Attempts by one of the Kenya news outlet to get Gachuri comment on the new development ended with him not denying or accepting that indeed he had been appointed to head communication at the Kindiki led ministry.
After taking over his new role, Francis Gachuri will be mandated with delivering and evaluating communication at the ministry. He will also be incharge of internal and external communication at the ministry.
Royal Media Service will also suffer a huge blow following the exit of the senior political editor.
Apart from being a senior political editor, Gachuri has been a news anchor at Citizen TV and a Kiririmbi Show host which airs at Inooro TV on Sundays.
He is also a panelist during News Night by Citizen Kenya which airs on Thursdays.
