Abel Mutua was born on August 28, 1986, in Pumwani Maternity Hospital and grew up in Nairobi. His early life was marked by challenges, including his father leaving the family in 1991. He was raised by his mother, who he considers his rock, in various Nairobi estates including Umoja, Kayole, and later Kibera.
