Former Lamu Senator Mugged in Nairobi

Mike Sonko Daughter Baby Baby Daddy and former Lamu County Senator, Anwar Loitiptip, was yestenight accosted by city muggers and beaten ruthlessly as they mugged him.

According to police reports, the former Lamu Senator was heading to a guest room in Ngara when he was accosted by the muggers at the Globe Cinema Roundabout as he was walking from Kirinyaga Road where he had allegedly gone to purchase a shirt at around 9 PM.

The former senator was seriously assaulted by the muggers before they robbed him his mobile phone and other valuables of unknown value.

After the incident, the muggers ran to their hideout towards Nairobi and left the former senator at the mercy of passersby.

Parklands police officers on night patrol spotted the badly injured senator who had managed to walk from Global Roundabout to Fig Tree Kipande Road junction and rushed him to Agha Khan hospital where he is currently receiving medication.

This is not the first the senator is at the center of controversies either involving his life or those around him, one or two years ago the Senator sustained serious injuries together with her Baby Mama, Saumu Mbuvi.

The two were watching UEFA champions league at Memphis Club in Kasarani Roysambu area. The senator excused himself for a short call but he was accosted by a group of people who assaulted him and also injured his baby mama who came to his rescue.

Earlier this year, the senator was on police radar after he shot an unknown woman from Nanyuki on the ankle.

The incident ensued at KANU grounds following between former senator Anwar Loitiptip and the woman. In his defense the senator claimed to have shot in the air to disperse people who were baying for his blood.

Also, during the race for the UDA senatorial ticket, his stiff competitor, Mr Francis Mugo, accused the former senator of attempting to throw him into the Indian Ocean.
