Meet June Chepkemei, the Moses Kuria appointee of Kenya Investment Authority.
The Cabinet Secretary for Investment, Trade and Industry, Moses Kuria has appointed June Chepkemei as the Managing Director of KENINVEST also known as the Kenya Investment Authority.
Prior to her appointment as the acting Managing Director of the Kenya Investment Authority, June Chepkemei was the head of Marketing and Communication at Konza City Technopolis Development Authority.
She also worked as business partner with Safaricom Ltd Communications after exiting a six years career in the mainstream media where she had rose to the ranks of business anchor/ reporter.\
At Konza Technopolis Development Authority, June Chepkemei, also acted as the Project Coordinator of an institute of national importance referred to as Kenya Institute of Science and Technology which was being developed in liaison with the Ministry of Education.
June Chepkemei holds a master’s degree in communications studies and an undergraduate degree in PR & Communications from Moi University. She also acquired a diploma in professional marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing.
At the time of her appointment as the acting Managing Director, June is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Science.
Her new task now comes with a new role where she is expected to grow Kenya investments from 500 million Dollars to 10 billion Dollars.
