Meet President William Ruto Deputy ADC, Madam Damaris Agnetta Apondi.
Damaris Agnetta Apondi made her first appearance in public as an ADC while accompanying President William Ruto during Women Funds Launch at KICC on 2nd March 2023.
She acts as an assistant to Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga who is the ADC to President William Ruto. According to internal sources, Agnetta Apondi is mandated with management of President William Ruto diary and organizing the president’s security.
Apart from managing the diary and liaising with the president’s security team, she also serves as the principal Kenya Defense Forces officer serving the President.
Damaris Apondi joined Kenya Defense Forces in the year 2003 and was conferred the rank of Second Lieutenant officer after her two years in the Kenya Army. Any military officer is awarded this rank after serving for two years in the military.
Previously she has held different positions in the military with the recent one being as an artillery officer in the Kenya Army.
During her tenure as an artillery officer she helped in coordinating fire support, ground based air defense and provision of tactical advice to combat teams.
She has also served in the United Nations where she was assigned to the United Nations Military Observer Mission
