Rogue conductor was smoked out of a matatu in Eldoret-Chepkoileol Matatu stage after he was caught red handed having sex with a middle aged woman.
The conductor who was identified as Collins, 23 years, was caught by members of the public and fellow colleagues enjoying himself with a 26 year old woman in one of the Matatus which was queuing in Eldoret Chepkoilel stage.
Collins who was apprehended by mob said that he could not afford to pay Ksh 300 for a lodging after buying the lady drink in one of the local bars in Eldoret town. “We agreed with the woman to get intimate inside the matatu after buying her a bottle of brew at one of the joints on the stage since the queue was moving at a slow pace due to lack of passengers,” Collins confessed.
Travelers and members of the public who were baying for Collins blood were stopped by his colleagues from lynching him in exchange of a public apology.
One of the people who smoked him were heard telling him to confess or get lynched.
After the incident, Collins was advised to seek treatment since he had sustained serious injuries as a result of the beating he received from the public when he was being smoked out.
The Matatu Sacco was forced to pay Ksh 300 to a nearby carwash to clean the Matatu which had been turned to a lodging Collins.
Trans Valley Sacco manager, Mr Kimeli, also vowed to take a strict disciplinary action against Kimeli once the Sacco completes its investigations.
