Content Creator Awinja lands a new job at Ministry of Health.

Content creator Jacky Vike alias Awinja has landed a new job at the ministry of health as the ambassador of Neglected Tropical Diseases in Kenya.

The comedian cum content creator announced her new role on Monday through her social media channels.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the new Brand Ambassador for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). It was such an honour to get this role the same day we are celebrating the world day for NTDs. Tuanze kazi sasa… thank you @moh_kenya for the opportunity to serve community,” Awinja posted on Instagram

She will now be tasked with creating awareness on the neglected tropical diseases in Kenya on her social media platforms which have accumulated thousands of fans.

Jacky Vike alias Awinja came to the limelight through her role at Papa Shirandula show which used to air on Citizen TV owned by Royal Media Service.

She will now be mandated with educating the public on the Neglected Tropical Diseases which over the past years have attracted less attention and funding.

According medical research institutes, neglected diseases affect more than one billion people in the world especially those in rural areas, slums and regions experiencing instability.

The diseases are called neglected diseases since there have been less effort to finance research on their eradication and reduction of their severity.
