State impose dusk to dawn curfew in disturbed areas in Laikipa.
The dusk to dawn curfew among other measures have been communicated through a press statement from the National Security Council meeting which was chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier today.
Other measures which were declared include; an ultimatum of 48 hours for businessmen, politicians and locals who have illegally invaded Laikipa Conservancy to vacate the premises and commencement of security protocol to flush out all the illegal occupants in the zoned areas.
The announcement came a day after over 40 hours were torched in Ol Moran forcing over 150 residents to free the area.
It is alleged that the bandits are on a revenge mission after two of their partners were arrested and they are seeking their release.
The bandits are said to hide in Maize plantations making it hard for police officers to flush them out.
With the reinforcement of security agencies, it is expected the zone which has been under insecurity threats for the last two months will stabilize.
