Tecra’s family, Omar Lari recounts the last moments of Tecra Muigai in a new investigative series by investigative journalist Allan Namu.
In an emotional investigative series pieced by veteran journalist Allan Namu, Tecra Muigai’s mother, her sister Arnelisa Muigai, her lover Omar Lari and their then house keeper recounted her last moments before she died in what is termed as a tragic accident.
On May 2nd 2020, Tecra died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital where she had been flown after falling and breeding profusely while in Lamu with her Lover Omar Lari.
Her death triggered lots of controversies from the public as the family accused her lover Omari Lari of killing their daughter.
Following the investigative series by Allan Namu, details have now emerged that Tecra Muigai had started to separate from her family socially.
Her character had also started to change all over sudden.
Tabitha Muigai, Tecra’s mother also recounted how Tecra had cut off communication with the family and how she was misappropriating money with endless trips outside Nairobi.
Her sister, Anerlisa Muigai, narrated how she broke down one day after her sister turned up in a family event untidy and with disheveled appearance. Later on Tecra called Anerlisa upstairs and showed a large burn that had been allegedly inflicted on her by Omar Lari.
“I couldn’t believe she was my sister. This is when she had started dating that man,”Anerlisa recounted.
Tecra Mother narrated how she never believed that her daughter was in a relationship with Omar Lari and how she always prayed for fears of losing her.
“I kept praying about this, it troubled me a lot because I saw my child turn into someone I didn’t know. I talked to God because I feared losing my child,” Tabitha told Allan Namu.
On her part, their house manager accused Omar Lari of sneaking in his baby mama during the day when Tecra was away.
“Alikua analeta hapa uyo mwanamke wakati Tecra ametoka anaenda kazi, alafu anatoka majioni jioni madam akiwa karibu kurudi, walikua wanaenda mpaka kwa room uko,” Tecra’s house keeper confessed.
Her lover Omar Lari told Namu that he really loved her and he was traumatized after he found her lying downstairs unconscious.
“Nilipokua nimelala nikaskia tu sauti, followed by one shout, and then silence took over. Waking up, I did not find Tecra in our room, only to find her lying unconscious downstairs,” Omar Lali.
