Deputy President William Ruto running mate, Rigathi Gachagua, has hired a team of social media influencers to cleanse his ‘tainted’ name which his opponents are using to conquer the vote rich Mt Kenya region.

Over the past few weeks after being named as Ruto running mate, Rigathi Gachagua has been at the centre of criticism with role as a senior District Officer during the Moi taking the centre stage.

On Saturday, the Kenya Kwanza running mate met a team of influencers at Mlima Centre to give job description to the team.

Attendees who spoke to UnreportedKe anonymously confirmed to our reporter that there was a meeting at Mlima Centre by Rigathi and about twenty-five social media influencers who main task would be to taint Rigathi as a good person.

On Friday, controversial city lawyer Wahome Thuku who supports Azimio exposed the alleged meeting on his facebook page and sarcastically advised the embattled running mate on how to manage his team.

“Rigathi Gachagua is set to host 15 UDA allied bloggers from Nyeri and Laikipia, for breakfast tomorrow morning. His idea is to copy and paste. To create what he actually calls Harambee House prefects but this time Wamunyoro prefects. To create a social media team to sanitize him. Rigathi is presently the most disliked politician in Kenya Kwisha and no amount of repackaging is working for him,” Wahome Thuku wrote.

The insider who spoke to unreportedke confirmed that the twenty five infleuncers team was recruited from Nyeri, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Murang’a and Kirinyaga with the team leader being a lady who recently defected from Azimio.

A video that was released to the public confirmed the allegations. The 25 influencers were seen singing praise song to their boss and Kenya Kwanza running mate.
