Former Tetu Mp Nyeri, Ndungu Gethenji, on Saturday surprised Martha Karua with two branded Land Rover Defenders and a branded vehicle fitted with a public address system.
The former Mp gifted Martha Karua the vehicles during a rally in Nyeri County at ASK Show Ground.
Martha Karua had toured Nyeri County for a town hall meeting and opening of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party Offices in building which Raila had been forcefully evicted in the run up to 2007 election by the owner Ms Lucy Weru who is an in law to the late Kibaki.
Martha Karua presided over the opening of the offices before heading to ASK Grounds Rally where she was gifted the three campaign cars by the former Tetu MP.
Tycoon Ndungu Gethenji was elected to parliament in 2013 through The National Alliance Party but was floored in 2017 by the incumbent, James Gichuhi.
In 2022, he wanted to recapture his seat through Jubilee Party but the party ticket was given to Martin Lurther King through consensus. A move that tycoon Ndungu Gethenji did not contest.
Despite not capturing the party ticket, Ndungu Gethenji remained loyal to the ruling party and by extension to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party which the ruling party is part of.
Kihingo Village, a Kitsuru Estate estimated to be worth 20 billion is Ndungu Gethenji brainchild.
Though he lost control over the estate to his elder brother, the former MP net worth is still estimated to be a couple of billions.
While gifting Martha Karua the campaign vehicles, Ndungu Gethenji vowed to pitch tent in NYERI County and deliver majority of the votes to Azimio Camp.
