Missing Kenyatta University student found dead in boyfriend’s house in Kahawa Wendani.
Police officers are investigating the cause of death of a Kenyatta University student who went missing on Christmas day and was later found dead in her boyfriend’s house in Kahawa Wendani.
Victoria Muthoni Theuri had told her parents that she was going to visit her sister before she went home for the holiday. She however did not visit her sister and her phone was also unreachable prompting the parents to report the matter to the authorities.
Tenants of an apartment in Kahawa Wendani noted foul smell originating from a locked house and alerted police officers who upon arrival found the decaying body of Victoria Muthoni Theuri.
One of the neighbors said that the man who lived in the room was not around and the foul smell really disturbed them.
“The man who lives there was not around and we found it odd that there was a bad smell coming out of the house. It smelt like something rotten inside the locked house,” one of the neighbors said.
Police officers privy to the matter suspected that the body of the Kenyatta University Student might have been dead for at least three days.
Following the discovery, police officers traced her boyfriend and booked him in Ruiru DCI offices for grilling pending conclusion of investigations.
Responding to grilling questions, Victoria Muthoni Theuri told sleuths that he had left her in his house before he travelled to the village for Christmas.
