Form one placements released by the ministry of education.
The ministry of education has today released form one placements for the 1.2 million pupils who sat for the Kenya Certification of Primary Education as well as results for the Kenya Primary Education Assessment.
Pupils who sat for the Kenya Certification of Primary Education will be placed in 112 National Schools, 776 extra county, 1301 county and 6297 sub county schools.
Parents will also be at liberty to take their children to either of the 1301 privately owned secondary schools in Kenya.
Placed students will start reporting to their placed school not earlier than 6th February 2023 up to 13 February.
The ministry has placed top ten students from each constituency across the country in National Schools. 38,972 candidates have been placed in National schools with males leading against females.
228, 160 students have been admitted in extra county schools while 199,027 students have been placed in county schools.
While releasing the results, Education Cabinet Secretary, Machogu, told the media that Kabianga High School, Nanyuki High School and Pangani Girls attracted the highest number of applications and some students had to be placed in other schools.
CS Machogu also told the media that 33, 984 students from 2673 schools across the country did not chose junior secondary schools for placement but the government placed them in various schools.
The CS also stated that 13221 schools across the country had been approved to host Junior Secondary Schools as CBC transition enters the second face.
Students who sat for KPSEA and KCPE can check the schools that they have been placed in by texting their index number to 22263.
