Standard Media Group Journalist and a content contributor at National Media Group found dead and body dumped in a ditch along Kangundo road.
Mr Moses Okiror who was an employee of Standard Media was on Thursday morning found dead. His lifeless body was found lying motionless in a ditch along the busy Kangundo road.
The journalist cause of death is not yet to be established but detectives suspect that he was killed somewhere else before his lifeless body was dumped in a ditch along Kangundo road.
His death came at a time when he had just been engaged with his lover and their wedding was scheduled for February 2023.
A black backpack with his personal documents was found lying next to the deceased body.
Nairobi County Boss, Adamson Bungei, confirmed that the body of the deceased had been taken to the mortuary and investigations on the cause of the death were ongoing.
The death of the Standard Media Group journalist came a few days after the Chief of Staff of the Media entity, Laban Onserio, was arrested at Holy Family Basillica church after he was found with a stun grenade.
Laban Onserio is said to have threatened to detonate the stun grenade after he was found in possession of it by the church’s security personnel prompting them to call for help from the anti-terror police unit.
Laban Onserio who is the former Presidential Delivery Unit boss, failed to provide certifications for being in possession of such equipment and was arraigned in Kahawa Law Courts where prosecution team sought orders to detain him for an additional five days as they conclude investigations into the matter.
The accused will know his fate upon the lapse of the five days when the presiding magistrate will rule on whether he will be released on bail or not.
