KANU party which is believed to have membership from all parts of the country has endorsed Gideon Moi as its 2022 presidential candidate.
Gideon Moi who is a son of the former president Daniel Moi has declared his interests in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The announcement and endorsement happened during National Delegates Conference which happened at Bomas of Kenya in attendance of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and over 100 parliamentarians drawn across the political divide.
Speaking to the delegates, Gideon Moi said that he has time, energy and resources required to get win presidency.
The Baringo senator who promised to launch his manifesto in the coming days also hinted on fight against corruption being one of his main agendas if elected as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya.
As Gideon Moi commences his presidential race journey, he is expected to solidify his home base. Elgeiyo Marakwet, West Pokot and Baringo counties which KANU party enjoys a sizable and fanatical following.
Woing these three counties to his side will also be catastrophic to Jubilee Party Leader, William Ruto who has already declared his Presidential candidature.
