In a statement by Director of Criminal Investigation, Oscar Sudi, Caleb Kositany and Uasin Gishu County Assembly have been summoned to Ruft Valley Region DCI offices over alleged stoning of Raila Odinga helicopter and Motorcade in Uasin Gishu County where Raila Odinga was attended Mr Jackson Kibor burial.

Earlier on Saturday, April 2, 2022, National Police Service Spoke Person had confirmed that they had arrested over fourteen suspects.

Director of Criminal Investigation issued a statement summoning the three after preliminary investigations indicated that they were the masterminds of the incident.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the chaos was organized and coordinated by; Hon Caleb Kositany, MP, Soi Constituency, Hon Oscar Sudi, MP, Kapseret Constituency, Hon David Kiplagat, speaker of Uasin Gishu County Assembly.

In view of the foregoing, the two legislators and County Assembly Speaker have pursuant to Section 52 of the National Police Service Act 2011, been summoned to appear in person before the Rift Valley DCI Regional coordinator on April 3, 2022, at 9am, for further investigations into their involvement in the incident.”

The summon comes a few house after a section of Rift Valley politicians apologized to Raila Odinga and condemned the incident that left Raila Odinga plane with broken windscreen.

Before being summoned, Oscar Sudi had issued a statement on his facebook platform condemning the rowdy youths who pelted Raila’s helicopter with stones, “We condemn any kind of violence against politicians either in Kabenes,Kenol,Kondele or anywhere within our republic. The police should take full responsibility for what happened in Kabenes. Someone of stature like the Former Prime Minister shouldn’t attend any function without heavy presence of the police. There were only two police officers surrounding the chopper. These days some youth go overboard, we even witnessed one hanging on a chopper in Bungoma and another one in Trans Nzoia. We shouldn’t tolerate such barbaric and retrogressive kind of politics this century.”
