During Sunday’s fundraiser at Kirugu Primary School, Mutuini Ward, Dagoretti South in aid of Joseph Kangari Waithaka, something interesting happened that left tongues wagging.

Immediately after Hon. Dennis Waweru chucked out his contribution of ksh. 200,000, John KJ Kiarie twitched. His demeanor changed. His lips became dry. His eyes became bloodshot.

No one could immediately sense what had hit him, but the diagnosis of his dilemma was out in the next few minutes. Sources close to him revealed that he had planned to contribute sh.50,000 only which was way below what Dennis Waweru had denoted.

There could have been no problem for KJ to contribute whatever he had planned to, but he could not let his pride be wounded.

In the next few minutes, he could be seen calling some people on his cellphone. Word has it that he was calling for help.

Those close to him say that the Deputy President pledged him sh.300,000. And that’s the money he drew on a blank cheque, which he contributed as his money.

Immediately KJ gave out the cheque, a rumour started being hushed up that the cheque might bounce. Those in the know say that KJ is notorious for issuing bouncing cheques.

UnreportedKe will be following up on the matter to see if the cheque was cashed.

Quick recovery to Joseph Kangari Waithaka.
