CS Kithure Kindiki Lands in Turkana Donning Specialized Police Units Police Uniform.
CS Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday 30th November 2022 afternoon landed in Turkana County donning specialized police uniforms.
The interior coordination cabinet secretary has been going around the country over the past few days assessing the security situation following outcry in social media of increased insecurity cases in many parts of the country.
Before landing in Turkana, CS Kithure Kindiki had earlier in the morning held a consultative meeting with elected leaders from Wajir County. In attendance was the Wajir County Governor, Senator and elected Members of Parliament from the county. Others who attended the meeting included the Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General, GSU Commandant and the County Commissioner of Wajir.
Kithure Kindiki visit to Turkana West Constituency in Turkana County comes at a time when the government is committed to bringing to an end cattle rustling.
The CS tour was to encourage and give morale to the different police formations including GSU, GD, RDU, CIPU, ASTU in the region prone to bandits’ attacks.
The CS reiterated the government’s commitment to the modernization of both land and air police equipment and also provision of protective apparatus to enhance safety of the police officers maintaining law and order.
