According to Citizen TV, the area Nyumba Kumi elder condemned the incident and adviced women not to throw away children they have given birth to.
“I am cautioning our women, especially the young women, to stop these inhuman acts. You cannot give birth to a child and throw it away,” Area Nyumba Kumi elder Mr Joel Githinji Said.
The Nyumba Kumi elders also advised young women to shun away from men who are not ready to take parental roles and to keep from temptations to procure abortions due to unplanned pregnancies.
“I want to tell young women fresh from school, that you have to be careful out here. There are men out here who want to use you, impregnate you, then run away. You better watch out,” Githinji advised young women.
